Democrats for Change is just getting started with our first full slate of 24 reform candidates in the June 2010 primary election and we will be working to win future races as well.

In 2011, there will be an election for members of the Union County Democratic Committee — the official organ of the Democratic Party — and we will need volunteers from every town and district to run, to win and to serve as district leaders.  This would be a great task for anyone charged up with the spirit of change who wants to make a meaningful contribution to progress.

There will also be contests for State Senate, General Assembly, Freeholder and a host of local elected offices.  If you are tired of politics as usual, consider signing up as a candidate.  Our government does not require extraordinary people to be successful.

The beauty of democracy is that is allows ordinary people to achieve extraordinary results by participating and working together.  This is your chance to help let the sun shine in on the political process and bring a brand new day to Union County and your community.

So stop thinking about it  and sign up to lend a hand.  If there were kids in a house on fire, you would not linger over your decision. If a senior citizen were about to be run over by a car, you would not take time to think about what to do.  Do not sit on the sidelines while crooked politicians steal our tax dollars and undermine our democracy.
